The Benefits of Drinking Warm Lemon Water

Do It All Working Mom - Lemon Water

Every year, in January, I have the urge to be healthier. I want to exercise more, eat well and all that good stuff… It usually doesn’t happen or doesn’t last for long. I did not start exercising yet (I am planning on it), but at the beginning of January, I started drinking warm lemon water first thing in the morning. After reading all the benefits, I said to myself ,this is pretty easy for all the good things it can bring my body.
Well it made a big difference for me; I have more energy, I feel great, my skin looks a lot better and I even lost 5 pounds.

Here are the benefits of drinking warm lemon water:

– Acts as a natural diuretic.

– Increases energy.

– Boosts immune system.

– Helps digestion.

– Helps weight loss.

– Helps purify & stimulate the liver.

– Balances your PH levels.

– Cleanses and detoxifies.

– Clears skin. Hydrates your lymph system.

How to do it

Press the juice of half a fresh lemon into a big cup of warm water (not hot). You need to drink the lemon water first thing in the morning, before you put anything else in your body like coffee or food. This is how everyone should start their day. Try it for just one month and you will see the results. This is easy and really beneficial for your health.

Are you drinking warm lemon water first thing in the morning? Are you planning to start?

Thanks for visiting Do It All Working Mom.

Hi Caroline, I’m going to do this, starting tomorrow! Your explanation of why to do it is the best I’ve seen, just a good list of benefits. Even better than the 17 day Diet book:)
Btw, I found you on twitter. New fan!
    Thanks, Di

I don’t normally like lemon in my water, but I do drink water in the morning (at room temperature so that it digests more easily) and then throughout the day. I may start adding a little lemon and then progress to a little more as time goes on.

I love lemon water, but I never thought about drinking it warm, first thing in the morning! I have been looking for a coffee-alternative, and this might just be it. Thanks! 🙂

It won’t give you the wake up boost coffee does, but it’s so good for you. What I do is have my warm lemon water first, and then I have a coffee.

I’ll be trying this too. At 52, and in the midst of menopause, it has been just about impossible for me to lose weight. I’ve tried quite a few of the new diets, without any success at all which is a huge discouragement. This is easy enough to implement and keep up. Thanks for sharing on Wonderful Wednesday. Pinned and liked on FB!
