Strawberry Basil Gin and Tonic

The Holidays are here and in the next few weeks we will be getting together to celebrate with family and friends. When you entertain, beer and wine are a must, but if you’re looking for a special and refreshing welcome cocktail, this Strawberry Basil Gin and Tonic is just perfect!

Strawberry Basil Gin and Tonic

Ingredients (for 1 glass)

2 strawberries cut in pieces
2 small basil leaves ripped by hand
1 oz of gin
1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice
2 ice cubes
Tonic water

Directions

In a small bowl, lightly crush the strawberries and basil, and then place in a Champaign flute.

Add two ice cubes, the gin and lemon juice, then fill the rest of the glass with tonic water.

This Strawberry Basil Gin and Tonic is not only delicious during Christmas and the Holidays, but it’s also perfect and really refreshing during the summer time.

Wine and beer is really good, but it’s fun to try new cocktails and drinks, especially when they’re that easy to make.

    Gin and tonic is my husband’s favourite drink. I’m excited to surprise him with this extra fancy version for the hoildays.
