Spinach and Feta Cheese Salad

Do It All Working Mom - Spinach and Feta Cheese Salad

 

I love a good salad, and this Spinach and Feta Cheese Salad is delectable. The taste is not the only great thing about, it’s also healthy and kids approved.

Raw spinach nutrition facts: Spinach is an excellent source of vitamin K, vitamin A (in the form of carotenoids), manganese, folate, magnesium, iron, copper, vitamin B2, vitamin B6, vitamin E, calcium, potassium, and vitamin C. It is a very good source of dietary fiber, phosphorus, vitamin B1, zinc, protein, and choline. (source whfoods.com)

 

Ingredients

4 cups of baby spinach (gently press down while measuring)
1/2 an English cucumber diced
8 grape or cherry tomatoes quartered
1/2 an onion chopped
1/2 cup of feta cheese cubed
1 teaspoon of Montreal steak seasoning
3 tablespoons of sliced black olives
3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar

Instructions

In a large bowl, toss together all the ingredients for the salad and serve. It’s that easy!

I’m sure it will become one of your favourite salads as well. It’s takes minutes to prepare and is perfect for grilling season.

    I’ve never considered adding Montreal seasoning to up the flavor of a dressing! We always have some on hand for preparing proteins but this is a great use with salad. Yum!

    I love Feta Cheese in salad. It not only adds a wonderful texture to it but it also gives it a great taste as well.

    Love feta and spinach is my favorite for making salads, I think I would really like this salad. Would have never thought to use steak seasoning in the salad dressing, what a great idea!
