These Easy Brown Sugar Pinwheel Cookies are the first cookies I’ve baked with my mom as a child. We used to make this recipe at Christmas time. My mom was baking her pies, meat pies and chicken pot pies, and when she was done, we made these amazing cookies with the left over pie dough. What’s great about this recipe is that it’s easy, quick and requires only 3 ingredients. It’s the perfect dessert recipe to make with your kids.
I use store bough pie dough to make my Brown Sugar Pinwheel Cookies, and they’re just as good. I always have store bough pie dough in the refrigerator or freezer; it’s so easy to make a quick last minute dessert with it.
Ingredients
Pie dough (same quantity you would use to make a pie shell)
Butter at room temperature
Brown sugar
Flour to roll the pie dough
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Put a bit of flour on a flat surface and roll the pie dough into a rectangle.
Spread some butter on the complete surface.
Sprinkle a generous amount of brown sugar over the butter.
Roll the dough, cut the edges and discard.
Cut the remaining of the roll in 1/2″ cookies.
Place the uncooked cookies on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.

Let the cookies cool down.
