Not sure what to do with your old food jars or Mason jars? I have great Christmas decorating ideas for you in this post. You will be able to decorate your old jars, fill them with home made goodies, chocolate or even gift cards and offer them to friends and family for Christmas.
Those Christmas decorated jars make the perfect Christmas teacher gift, and your kids will really enjoy helping decorating them, my daughter sure did.
To make this project, you will need:
Hot glue gun and glue
Christmas ornaments and embellishments.
Red ribbon
Raffia
Burlap
Jars (Mason or clean food jars like olive jar…)
Paint and a paint brush
Christmas craft paper
Brown cardstock
Cookie cutters
Goodies to fill your jars.
Supplies
Jar #1
I used a clean olive jar, I painted the lid glued a round piece of craft paper to the top of the lid. I added a piece of burlap around my jar and I glued it to the back. I attached a gold start with a piece of raffia and glued the star to the burlap. I filled my jar with Christmas potpourri.
Jar #2
I used a new jar from the dollar store, wrapped a piece of raffia around it with a bow, then added a strip of craft paper that I glued to the back of the jar. I then traced a reindeer with a cookie cuter on a piece of cardstock and glued it to the front of my jar. I filled this jar with little markers.
Jar #3
I used a Mason Jar, glued a strip of craft paper around it and glued a snowflake ornament to the front of the jar. I glued a piece of red ribbon around the lid and glued a round piece of craft paper to the top of the lid. I filled this jar with chocolate ornaments.
Jar #4
I glued a piece of red ribbon around the lid, then glued a round piece of craft paper to the top of the lid and glued faked berries and greens to the top of the craft paper. I filled this jar with candy canes.
Those were so much fun to make! I have to make more soon because I decided to keep those ones for myself LOL.
Have fun crafting!
