Thin Crust Pizza Dough

At our house, homemade pizza is a favorite! Sometimes I prepare a delicious thick crust pizza, and other times, I chose to make a Thin Crust Pizza Dough with lots of toppings. We eat homemade pizza almost once a week, and this pizza crust is a winner!

Thin Crust Pizza

Ingredients (makes 2 pizza crusts)

2 cups of white flour
sea salt
1/2 teaspoon of sugar
1/2 teaspoon of dried yeast
1/2 teaspoon of olive oil
175 ml of lukewarm water

Instructions

In large bowl, add the flour, a generous pinch of salt, stir with a fork and make a well in the middle.

Pour water into a measuring cup, add the yeast, sugar and olive oil. Stir well until the yeast has dissolved.

Gradually pour the water mixture into the well you just made in the flour Using a fork, mix in the flour from the sides, then bring it together with your hands into a slightly sticky dough.

Form a ball with the dough and let it rest for 10 minutes in the bowl (add more flour if needed).

Thin Crust Pizza

Transfer the dough to a flour dusted work surface.

With a knife, cut the dough in half. Using a flour dusted rolling pin, flatten each piece of dough into a flat circle or oval.

Thin Crust Pizza

Spray a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray and carefully place the dough on the sheet (or cover the baking sheet with parchment paper).

Spoon the pizza sauce onto the dough and top with pepperoni, cheese and your favorite toppings.

Cook at 400° F. for about 15 minutes (ovens may vary, so set a timer and check your pizza after 10 minutes, you might have to turn the heat down to 350° F.).

Hope you enjoy this awesome Thin Crust Pizza Dough. I love to drizzle Spicy Oil on my pizza. Makes it even more tasty!
