Shepherd’s Pie

If you have kids, you need to have a great Shepherd’s Pie recipe, because kids go crazy over it! So if you don’t have one already, and even if you do, I suggest you try serving my easy Shepherd’s Pie recipe for your family. They’ll thank you for it!

Do It All Working Mom - Shepherds Pie

 
Ingredients

2 pounds of lean ground beef
5 cups of mashed potatoes (I mash my potatoes with butter, milk, salt and pepper)
1 can of whole kernel corn drained (540ml/19oz)
1 can of cream style corn (540ml/19oz)
1 envelope of dry onion soup mix
3 tablespoons of water
1 tablespoon of butter

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350°F
In a frying pan, brown the ground beef.
Add the onion soup mix and water to the beef, and stir until blended.
Add to the bottom of round oven safe dish.

Top with both cans of corn.

With a large spoon, top the corn with the mashed potatoes making sure to spread evenly.
Spread the butter on top of the potatoes and sprinkle with paprika.

Cover and place on a baking sheet.
Cook for 30 minutes, then remove cover and broil until the top is golden brown.

    I LOVE Shepherds pie! It is the ultimate left over meal. You can throw in just about anything and it will taste awesome!
