This Roasted Chicken Recipe is perfect! The chicken is juicy and tender on the inside, and crispy on the outside. It takes only 5 minutes to prepare and 1 hours to cook, so you can prepare this tasty Roasted Chicken any day of the week. Why not make more then one? Makes meal prep. easy for the rest of the week, and is perfect for lunches.
Instructions
1 chicken (3 pounds or 1.5 kg)
3 teaspoons of olive oil
1 teaspoon of paprika
1/2 teaspoon of garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon of celery salt
1/4 teaspoon of ground pepper
1 teaspoon of thyme
1 teaspoon of oregano
1 lemon
4 garlic cloves
Instructions
1. Clean chicken under cold water and dry well with a paper towel.
2. Place the chicken in a dripping-pan or a roasting pan. Add water to the bottom part of the pan (just to cover the bottom).
3. Cut the lemon in half and place both pieces inside the chicken cavity with the pealed garlic cloves.
4. Mix together the olive oil and spices. Spread 1/4 of oil mixture between the skin and the breasts of the chicken and spread the rest over the hole chicken.
5. Cook at 400 for one hour with rack in center of the oven.
6. Let the chicken rest for 10 to 15 minutes.
