Raclette Appetizer Recipe

My family really enjoys a nice Raclette Dinner. If you’ve never hosted a Raclette Dinner Party, you really must try. It’s such a delicious and fun meal to enjoy with family and friends. I came up with this Raclette Appetizer recipe because we always have a lot of left overs after a Raclette, so this is a nice way to enjoy them the next day of a few days after.

You can vary the ingredients and the quantities depending on what you have left over. It’s also a great appetizer to prepare when entertaining. Why not serve it as a meal? Would be delicious served with a green salad.

Ingredients

1/2 cup of broccoli
1 small onion chopped
10 thick slices of dry salami or rosette de Lyon chopped
3 slices of prosciutto chopped
1/2 can of sliced potatoes
6 mushrooms sliced
2 sausages previously boiled or cooked (Italian, Polish, honey…)
1/2 cup of sliced steak
8 slices of raclette cheese
1 tablespoon of butter

Instructions

In a frying pan, heat the butter at medium high heat.
Add the potatoes and cook on both sides for about 1 minutes.
Turn down the heat to medium and add the onion, broccoli, mushrooms and cook for another 3 minutes while stirring.
Add the meat and cook for another 3 minutes while stirring.
Divide, and spoon into 4 ceramic oven safe dish.
Top with a piece of raclette cheese.
Place in the oven and broil until the cheese is melted.
Serve with a few sliced of baguette bread or croutons.

Like I said before there is no right recipe here. If you don’t have steak, you don’t add any. If you don’t have sausages, you do the same. The important ingredients are the potatoes, the raclette cheese, the onion and any of the meat or deli.
