Mussels in Creamy Sauce

My husband and I really enjoy mussels. The great thing about cooking mussels is that they taste amazing, but they also are so easy to make.

This recipe is delicious and takes less then 15 minutes to prepare from beginning to end. So impress your guests with these amazing Mussels in Creamy Sauce next time you entertain.

Do It All Working Mom - Mussels in creamy sauce

Ingredients

2.5 kilos of fresh mussels cleaned
2 tablespoons of butter
3 French shallots chopped
1 1/2 cup of dry white wine
1/2 cup of 15% warm cream
1/2 cup of fresh parsley chopped
Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Directions

In a large sauce pan, melt the butter and sauté the French shallots at medium heat for about 3 to 4 minutes (do not brown the shallots).
Add the mussels, white wine, warm cream, pepper and parsley.
Cover and cook until the mussels are open (about 10 minutes).
Transfer the mussels and sauce into a large serving bowl.
I serve these amazing mussels with homemade french fries and mayonnaise.
