Caprese Salad

I love salad! All kinds of salad, but this Caprese Salad is really delicious and looks so good when well presented. It’s great to be able to enjoy something that taste so good, and is at the same time healthy.

Do It All Working Mom - Caprese Salad

 

Ingredients

This recipe is for 1 person

3 slices of tomatoes per person
3 leaves of fresh basil per person
3 Slices of fresh mozzarella cheese per person
A pinch of fleur de sel and freshly ground pepper
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 teaspoon of balsamic vinegar reduction (bring 1/2 cup of balsamic vinegar to a boil. Let boil uncovered for about 3-4 minutes. Let cool down.)

Directions

On a small serving plate, layer the ingredients as follow: 1 slice of tomato, 1 slice of fresh mozzarella cheese, 1 basil leaf, a sprinkle of fleur de sel and freshly ground pepper.

Repeat this step twice.
Drizzle with the olive oil and balsamic vinegar reduction.
