Easy and Delicious Fruit Salad

Summer is on its way, and today I want to share with you one of my favourite summer snack: Fruit Salad.  When it’s nice and warm outside, there’s nothing like enjoying a nice bowl of fruit salad made with fresh seasonal fruits. It’s refreshing, delicious and most of all, it’s healthy.

Do It All Working Mom - Fruit Salad

You can eat fruit salad almost any time; for breakfast, as a snack or dessert. It’s perfect to bring on a picnic, to a Potluck or to serve at a family BBQ. It’s also great to pack in lunches.

Here is how I made my fruit salad this time, but you can pretty much put any fruits you like in it. What’s important is to mix textures and colours.

Ingredients

Grapes
Pineapples
Strawberries
Blueberries
24.5 oz container of Mandarin oranges drained
Seedless watermelon
The juice of 1 fresh lemon
1/4 cup of honey

Direction

Fill a 13 x 8 plastic Rubbermaid container with the fruits you’ve chosen cut in bite size pieces.
Add the lemon juice and honey.
Stir and serve, or place in refrigerator until ready to serve.
Depending on the fruits you’ve chosen, you can keep this salad in the refrigerator for 2-3 days (you should not use apples or bananas if you want to keep your fruit salad in the refrigerator for a few days).

Oh I love fruit salad–so cool and refreshing and never fails to hit the spot where my taste buds do a happy dance. This is a great combo you have put together. I really need to remember those Mandarin Oranges next time I make it.

This fruit salad looks so good and fresh. We love making fruit salads, specially during summer and I like that they are so versatile and you can always change them around and have them any time of day. Thanks for the recipe!
